To defend the land you need an army, but to defend freedom you need education”~ Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
This statement really resonated with me. Our world is in crisis. In the Bible, Matthew 24 has a lot to say: “Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.”
Matthew 24:4-8 NLT
To observe what is happening on American University campuses is astounding and appalling. The radical belief system of hate mongering is beyond belief. It should not be so. Universities used to be held in high esteem of providing a quality education and balanced world view but it seems it has been insidiously indoctrinated with duplicity of victimhood. It’s a ridiculous mindset of one side actually DOING the very things, and SAYING the very things they themselves cry “foul” on!
Collectively, have we not learned anything from history? The younger generation is seemingly getting their sustenance from social medial platforms and radical teachers rather than the truth. Education in this nation is at an all time low while hubris and idiocy is at an all time high. The case in point is the hatred for Jewish people on our college campuses and the acceptance of terrorists provocation in the Middle East.
It’s the Jewish community now, but scripture points to a day when it also will affect those who follow Jesus: “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.”
Matthew 24:9-12 NLT
The prophet Isaiah had wisdom to proclaim:
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
Isaiah 5:20-21 NIV
This is the current state of reasoning in our times! We as believers know from scripture that in the end times deception will be rampant, but did we take time to consider how it would infiltrate? There’s a battle for our minds and the enemy plays us like an expert chess master. It begins with a dumbing down,…consider this…..to blatant disregard for truth and all that is right. Our chess move? We must pray for the minds of this nation and for the education system. Prayer is our weapon!
I am including information given to me from “Call 911” intercession: from “Intercessor” by Reese Howells.
[“We need to start praying] for terrorist attacks to be thwarted on our college campuses. Our neighborhoods, churches and homes need intercessory prayer:
- Pray Psalm 91 over your family and community every day
- Prayer-drive your neighborhood, city, and state borders and pray.
- Pray that the intelligence community will have ‘eyes to see’ radical plans being made and stop them
- Pray over the schools in your area
- Find out what pro-Hamas student groups are operating on college campuses and pray that they will not lead violent protests
- Ask God to uncover every sleeper cell in the United States. Pray to uncover their activities.
- Intercede that their funding be cut off”
- And I would add, pray that America would secure their borders and stop the illegal migration into our country!!
